Win & Tonic April Challenge

Greetings and a very warm welcome on this fine Easter Sunday!
I couldn't think of a more appropriate card to make than an Easter pop up card with the brand new Tonic Studios Flowers and Flourishes Morning Glory, Verdi's Vase, and Mozart's Blossom currently debuting on Hochanda this weekend!

This card was made as inspiration for the WinTonic April Challenge Blog. I do hope you'll pop on over and have a look - it's easy to enter and details are at the end of my blog post or you can click here

So, let's make the pop up box card:
Step 1 Cut cardstock to 8.5” x 12”. Score on the long side at 2.75”, 5.5”, 8.25”, and 11”.
Step 2 Cut off a 2” x 12” strip, set aside.
Step 3 Turn the 6.5” x 12” panel a quarter turn to the left, and score at 2.75.”
Step 4 Cut down 2.75” along each of the 4 perpendicular score lines. At the 11” score line, cut in at a slight angle up from the edge of the cardstock to remove the excess to create your tab.
Step 5 Cut the 2” x 12” strip at 4.75” from the end with the 1" score line. Cut the strip in half the long way to create two strips, 1”x 4.75”.
Both strips should be scored in 1” from each end. Fold both tabs back.
Step 6 Use any paper or embossing folders to decorate the panels, back - 2.5” x 6.25", bottom panels 2.5” x 3.5", top panels 2.5” square
Step 7 Fold your card on the 5.5” score line, and attach the tab inside with adhesive (I use super sticky red tape).
Step 8 Apply adhesive to the end tabs of the 1” x 4.75” strips, and adhere them to the inside of the opened box, aligning them with the top of the opening. Turning both tabs toward the outside front or back of the box will help ensure straight placement.
Step 9 - Cut out all your die cuts, piece together.
Step 10 Adhere all your die cut flowers and swirls to the small panels inside your pop up box.
Step 11 Add gems and any other embellishments you may have.
Step 12 Add additional embossed panels, sentiments and embellishments to decorate for completion.
Your lovely pop up box is now complete.

There are four elements to April's Challenge and you may use one, all or a mixture
Colour - think spring, so anything pastel
Theme  - open to any occasion
Technique - make an Easter treat box or bag or gift
Product - any basic shape die

Have a fantastic Easter and why not head over to the challenge blog here where you will find full details and more gorgeous inspiration.
Good luck and I hope to see lots of entries!
Lots of love
Jen
